Do I need special software for configuration?
No. All configuration is done through an intuitive web interface.
Can I connect M-Bus and Modbus meters simultaneously?
Yes. The gateway supports M-Bus, Modbus RTU, and Modbus TCP protocols simultaneously. The important factor is the total number of connected meters.
How many meters does the gateway support?
The BLC-MBUS-250 gateway supports up to 250 meters. The basic version supports 50 meters, and the limit can be increased at any time by purchasing up to 4 additional licenses for 50 meters each.
What transmission speeds are supported?
The BLC-MBUS-250 supports all popular transmission speeds, which can be set independently for each meter.
Can I adjust the meter reading interval?
Yes. The reading interval is configured individually for each meter.
Can I reconfigure a meter, change its address, and transmission speed?
Yes. The gateway allows you to change the address and transmission speed. If specialized manufacturer software is needed, the gateway supports virtual COM mode for that purpose.
Can I change BACnet object names?
Yes. The names and descriptions of BACnet objects can be modified. To simplify the process, the gateway automatically assigns names based on the data read from the meter. The naming scheme can be customized. Supported languages are Polish, English, German, and Lithuanian.
